All-Natural Sunblock Options

Now that it’s almost summer, I wanted to gather and share information about natural sunscreens. I don’t know about you, but I absolutely hate normal sunblock: the sticky, greasy feeling; the chemical or artificial smell; and the way it never seems to come all the way off in the shower. I have been hunting for natural sunblock to replace the couple bottles of artificial stuff that I’ve been trying to use up. Below I’ve listed some great looking sunblocks that are natural and cruelty free.

(Disclaimer: I have not actually tried any of these products. This list is really just to make you aware of how many natural options there are!)

  1. I haven’t tried any of these specifically, but the one we use on Talia in the mornings before daycare is very similar to your “sport” option (https://www.beyondcoastal.com/category/active-formulas/product/active-sunscreen-spf-34) and is also cruelty free (you can click the “Responsibility” tab on the website to get more information). We chose it because it was at the time the only non-Zinc-Oxide option that got a good EWG rating, and we really needed something we could put on her that wouldn’t immediately rub off all over our work clothes and it’s great in that regard–easy to put on and not sticky. (We use a California Baby sunscreen stick on her face, and it’s also good, but pricey!)
